Pick-Up Information

During our pilot phase, products are available for local pick-up at the Oakville Distribution and Recycling Centre only. Stay tuned for shipping and other pick-up locations — we will post updates as new options become available!

After completing your online purchase you will be receive an email from NRO.BuyInBulk@salvationarmy.ca to reserve your pick-up appointment.

Tuesdays & Thursdays

8:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Saturdays

10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

No walk-ins: All pick-ups must be pre-arranged with an appointment scheduled in advance to ensure staff availability and safety.

What to Know for Pick-Up:

For pick-up, please bring:

  • Confirmation receipt
  • Valid ID
  • A suitable vehicle for palletized loads
  • Help and supplies if transferring product into vehicle from pallets

Thank you for shopping with us! To ensure a safe and efficient experience when purchasing palletized products, please review our loading assistance guidelines:

Vehicle Requirements
  • Customers are responsible for bringing a suitable vehicle for palletized loads
  • Please ensure your vehicle can safely accommodate the weight and dimensions of your purchase.

For direct pallet loading suitable vehicles include:

Box trucks (e.g., U-Haul 10’ Box Truck)
Tractor Trailers 
Landscape, open and enclosed trailers

For customer direct loading suitable vehicles include:

Standard or larger SUVs (e.g., Toyota Highlander, Honda Pilot, Chevrolet Tahoe)
Mini Vans (e.g., Dodge Caravan, Toyota Sienna)
Cargo Vans (e.g., Ford Transit, Mercedes Sprinter, Ram ProMaster)
Enclosed Trailers

Loading Assistance
  • We are happy to assist with loading full pallets onto your vehicle or trailer.
  • If you prefer to load the items directly into your vehicle without the pallet and box, you are welcome to do so. Important notes on this type of pick-up: Pallets are loaded with inventory. Please come prepared with proper equipment to transfer pallet contents, such as boxes, bins or bags, and/or additional people to support the loading process. Pickup windows are 30 minutes. We ask you arrive on time and come prepared with all the necessary loading support to ensure timely pick-up and to avoid delaying the others in the pick-up queue.

Kindly note that our staff are unable to assist with manual loading. Employees cannot enter your vehicle or secure loads (e.g., strapping or tying down) for safety and liability reasons.

Safety & Liability
  • For your safety and ours:Employees will use proper equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).Customers must remain in designated safe zones during loading.
  • Load Securement: Customers are responsible for securing their load before leaving the premises.
  • By accepting loading assistance, you acknowledge that The Salvation Army Thrift Store is not liable for damage to your vehicle or product once loading is complete.
Scheduling & Pick-Up
  • All pickups are scheduled in advance to ensure staff and equipment availability. After completing your purchase, you’ll receive an email with a link to schedule your pick-up appointment along with instructions for your pick-up.
  • Loading is available during pre-arranged scheduled hours only.
