Who owns Buy in Bulk?
Buy in Bulk is owned and operated by The Salvation Army Thrift Store, National Recycling Operations (NRO). NRO is a national division of The Salvation Army in Canada.
Who can buy this product? Is it only open to wholesale customers?
Purchases are open to everyone. To proceed, you’ll need a Shopify account and must complete your payment in full. Once payment is confirmed, you’ll be required to book an appointment for pickup. Please ensure you have access to a suitable truck to collect your purchase at the scheduled time.

Why is there limited product available?
We do our best to give all donations the best chance at a second life, as such we are limited by the donations we receive and the demand of our store customers.
Where does this product come from?
Pallets are a standard assortment of donated products deemed not suitable for our store sales, as well as priced items offered for sale in the store that did not sell.
What condition are the items in?
Items are generally in gently used to good condition as received in our public donations.
Can I preview my purchase?
While we’re unable to offer pallet previews due to the fast-paced nature of our warehouse operations. We are committed to making sure you’re happy with your purchase, that’s why every buyer has the opportunity to inspect their order at the time of pickup. If it’s not what you expected, no worries — you can decline the purchase and receive a full refund within 48 hours. It’s our way of ensuring a confident and risk-free buying experience.
Can I return or exchange items?
Due to the nature of bulk resale, all sales are final.
How are products collected by buyers?
During your checkout process you will be given a time to schedule your pickup at our Oakville warehouse. More information on suitable vehicles and loading informaiton can be found in the Pick-Up Info tab.
What are the dimensions and weight of each pallet?
Standard pallet dimensions are approximately 48" x 40" x 60" and weigh between 150–700 lbs, depending on the contents as referenced in the listings.
How will product be loaded?
Our trained warehouse staff will load pallets onto your truck using a pallet jack in the designated loading area.
If you prefer to load the items directly into your vehicle, you are welcome to do so during your scheduled pickup time. Please ensure this is done promptly to avoid delays for others in the pickup queue. Kindly note that our staff are unable to assist with manual loading.
Where does the money go?
As a non-profit organization, the funds raised by our Buy in Bulk program, and our Thrift stores through the sales of the donations we receive from our generous community members, outside of our administrative expenses, go towards supporting local Salvation Army programs and services. These include financial assistance to those in need, access to foodbanks, shelters for people experiencing homelessness, emergency disaster relief and crisis support, as well as a voucher program which allows individuals and families in need to shop for items in our stores free of charge.
By providing monetary support through our initiatives, we help The Salvation Army to achieve its mission by having a positive influence within the communities in which we operate.
Do you offer shipping or delivery?
During our pilot phase, products are available for local pick-up only at our Oakville Distribution Centre. Shipping is not yet offered—but stay tuned, we’ll post updates here as options become available.
